About Us
In 1953, John Fehring opened an automobile uphostery shop in Baytown, Texas
in a 2400 sq. ft. building. John's son, Ronnie, grew up around the business learning
auto upholstery from his father. As times changed, Ronnie became interested
in more than just the interiors of cars and trucks. He convinced his father to let him
expand the business.....as long as he invested his own money. Ronnie started
expanding the business first with custom van accessories & it went from there.
In 1981, Ronnie, along with his wife Kathy, bought John's Trim Shop from his father.
For 12 years they continued with their growing business in the original small
building. Along with the growth came the need for expansion. Since there was no
room to add on the old building, in 1993 Ronnie & Kathy moved John's Trim Shop
from the cramped building they had been in to a new, spacious 6000 sq. ft. building
on N. Main. Despite their uncertainties, the business flourished in its new location,
so much so that expansion was needed and several additions to the new building
began. John's Trim Shop now has a total of 12,000 sq. ft. to serve the needs of
it's customers.
As customers needs have changed, so has John's Trim Shop. While interior
upholstery is still done, as it was in 1953, a full line of auto & truck accessories
has been added, as well as an industrial department and a booth for Xtreme
Sprayed on bedliners.
From work, sport & custom trucks, vans, mini trucks & cars, John's Trim Shop
has everything you want & need and has a full service installation shop and stands
behind everything sold & installed.
John's Trim Shop continues to be a family business as Brenda, Ronnie & Kathy's
eldest daughter joined the business as office manager in 2003.
